The Favela com Dignidade program provided more than 1.800 services in Acari - Rio City Hall The Rio City Hall, through the Community Action Secretariat, took the Favela com Dignidade program to Acari this Saturday (27/1) and registered 1.843 direct services. The joint action was carried out at the Residents Association of the neighborhood in the North Zone and had the participation of several secretariats and public agencies of the city and the state.
– This edition of Favela com Dignidade in Acari was essential to complement the work that several City Hall departments have been doing in the region, one of the most affected by the rains. Among the most sought-after services were registration for the Minha Casa, Minha Vida program, vaccination, tips on preventing dengue, zika and chikungunya, exemption for the 1st and 2nd copies of identity cards and for the 2nd copies of certificates – said the Secretary of Community Action, Chiquinho Brazão.
Bruna Costa and her sister-in-law, Gláucia Melo, went in search of a second copy of their birth and marriage certificates.
– We lost everything in the flood and now we will be able to get a second copy of our documents for free – celebrated Bruna.
The integrated action also offered scheduling for CadÚnico, assistance with consumer issues, guidance on school enrollment for 2024, barber and braiding services, braiding and eyebrow design workshops, tips on courses for young people, information on the rights of people with disabilities and guidance on school enrollment for 2024.
– The Department of Education came to guide the population on enrollment for the 2024 school year. We have the entire City Hall united to serve the people of Acari – highlighted the Secretary of Education, Renan Ferreirinha.
Microchipping, rabies vaccination and scheduling for neutering dogs and cats, offered by the Department of Animal Protection and Defense and the Health Surveillance Institute (Ivisa-Rio) were also in high demand.
– I took advantage of Favela com Dignidade near my house to take my dog to the vet for a rabies vaccination and microchipping – commented Andressa Vitória, who was accompanied by her family.
One of the most lively moments of the event was a zumba class, promoted by the Sports Department, to encourage physical activity.
Program aims to facilitate population access to public services
The Favela com Dignidade program aims to facilitate access to public services for the population living in areas with low Social Development Indexes, providing better living conditions for residents. Implemented in 2021, the initiative is in its 25th edition and has already provided 36.423 direct services.
The following departments participated in the action in Acari: Health, Housing, Social Assistance, Animal Protection and Defense, Education, Sports, People with Disabilities, Women's Policies and Promotion, Rio de Janeiro Youth and Conservation, in addition to Health Surveillance, Procon Carioca, Comlurb, Rioluz, IplanRio, Detran and Fundação Leão XIII.
