City Hall brings services and assistance from Favela com Dignidade to Complexo do Jacarezinho on Saturday

The Rio City Hall, through the Department of Community Action, will bring the Favela com Dignidade program to the Dois de Maio community in the Jacarezinho Complex in the city's North Zone on Saturday (25/5). The integrated action will be held from 9 am to 14 pm with the presence of several departments and municipal agencies, which will offer free services, such as registration in the Minha Casa, Minha Vida Program, vaccinations, exemption from duplicate documents, guidance on CadÚnico and school enrollment, among others. The address is Rua Dois de Maio, number 2, in the Engenho Novo neighborhood.

– Favela com Dignidade is a program that serves those most in need. On the same day and at the same location, the City Hall will be present to provide multiple services to the population – highlighted the Secretary of Community Action, Marlí Peçanha.

In addition to the planned actions, the municipality has already initiated some interventions to improve the quality of life in the region, including repaving the streets, clearing drains, maintaining the lighting system, replacing LED bulbs, cleaning roads and weeding. The work is being carried out by the Conservation Department, Rioluz and Comlurb.

Favela com Dignidade aims to guarantee and facilitate access to public services for communities with lower Social Development Indexes, providing better living conditions for residents of these locations. Implemented in 2021, the initiative has already promoted 27 joint community actions, with 40.115 direct services.

– Guidance on the rights of people with disabilities and dissemination of information about the services offered by the department at the Municipal Reference Centers for People with Disabilities
