The Rio City Hall, through the Community Action Department, will bring the Favela com Dignidade program to Acari, in the North Zone, next Saturday (27/1). The integrated action will be attended by municipal and state departments and agencies, from 9 am to 14 pm, at the Acari Residents' Association. The address is Rua Guaiuba, 330. The location is close to the Ronaldo Gazolla Hospital.

– The Favela com Dignidade program in Acari will be added to the work that the City Hall has already been intensifying in the region, the most affected by the heavy rains that hit the city in recent days. It will be a joint service, with more than 40 free services available to the population – said the Secretary of Community Action, Chiquinho Brazão.

In addition to the services that will be offered during the integrated action, Favela com Dignidade is already carrying out interventions in the area, such as maintenance of switched-off lights, filling potholes, unclogging storm drains and drain branches, replacing grates and caps, and general cleaning in the region. The work is being carried out by Rioluz, the Department of Conservation and Comlurb.

The initiative aims to guarantee and facilitate access to public services for the population living in communities with lower Social Development Indexes, providing better living conditions for residents of these locations.
