Enforcement operation seizes more than 30 sharp objects and a replica firearm in Jacarepaguá.

The intervention responded to residents' demands - Press release The Jacarepaguá Subprefecture and the Municipal Secretariat of Public Order (Seop) carried out, on the morning of this Friday (08/28), an urban order operation on Estrada dos Bandeirantes (from the height of Merck to Vila Sapê, in both directions), on Avenida Antonieta Campos da Paz, on Estrada do Rio Grande (under the Transolímpica viaduct) and on Estrada Rodrigues Caldas (in front of Fazenda Baronesa).
During the operation, teams dismantled ten structures and tents illegally installed in public areas. More than 30 sharp objects were seized—including knives, scissors, and pliers—as well as a replica firearm. Comlurb collected 20 tons of solid waste and debris.
Agents from the Municipal Secretariat of Social Assistance (SMAS) also participated in the mobilization, offering shelter and inclusion in social programs of the Rio de Janeiro City Hall to people experiencing homelessness. The intervention responded to demands from residents regarding the irregular occupation of sidewalks and the accumulation of debris in the region.
— In addition to organizing and cleaning public spaces, we also offer shelter and inclusion in programs for homeless people through Social Assistance. Our cleaning actions are weekly, and we act according to residents' complaints and inspections carried out by the Subprefecture — declared the subprefect of Jacarepaguá, Igor Augusto.
The inspection was supported by the Municipal Guard, the BRT Seguro program, and the Military Police. The operations take place weekly.
