CadMóvel Carioca surpasses 6.200 services provided to vulnerable families in August.

In its four operations carried out in August — in Rio das Pedras, Rocinha, Sepetiba, and Morro dos Prazeres — the CadMóvel Carioca reached the milestone of 6.266 families in vulnerable social situations benefiting from the program. Since its inauguration in April 2025, the mobile service of the Municipal Secretariat of Social Assistance (SMAS) of Rio, which decentralizes the registration and updating of data in the Unified Registry (CadÚnico), has totaled 47 operations in all regions of the city.

The CadMóvel Carioca brings social assistance policies closer to the most vulnerable communities and facilitates access to federal government benefits, such as Bolsa Família, ID Jovem, and the Social Electricity Tariff, among others. The service visits a different neighborhood every week, almost always on Thursdays.

In addition to updating and registering in the CadÚnico (Single Registry for Social Programs) — no appointment needed via 1746 or the website. cadunico.rio Without having to travel to a CadRio center, the population receives guidance on how to obtain social benefits. To receive assistance, it is necessary to obtain one of the 150 tickets distributed daily at 9 am. The head of the family must bring the CPF numbers of all family members, as well as an official photo ID, CPF number, voter registration card, work permit, and proof of residence.

On the 11th, the CadMóvel Carioca mobile unit provided 49 services related to registration or updating of data in the Unified Registry in Rio das Pedras, Southwest Zone. On the 12th, the action took place in Block 1 of Rocinha, in the South Zone, where 83 families were assisted. On the 20th, another 68 were assisted in Sepetiba, in the West Zone, and a further 73 on the 27th, in Quadra da Madame, in Morro dos Prazeres, located between the neighborhoods of Santa Teresa and Rio Comprido, in the North Zone.
