The "CadMóvel Carioca – Connecting to Rights" service reached 31 people on Thursday (July 07st). The mobile service of the Rio Municipal Department of Social Assistance (SMAS) streamlines registration and data updates in the Unified Registry (CadÚnico) and facilitates access to social benefits such as Bolsa Família, Continuous Benefit Payment (BPC), and Senior Citizen Card, among others. Since April, 2.128 service sessions have been held. This time, Cidade de Deus was included, with 15 services (147 for registration and 30 for registration updates).
Rejane Félix da Silva, a 48-year-old housewife, had her benefit canceled and needed to update her information to receive it again. She wasn't familiar with Cadmóvel Carioca, but when she heard about the service, she decided to check it out for herself:
"It all went quickly, and I was able to get it sorted without any difficulty. The benefit income is the only one my daughter and I have, so I needed it urgently. A friend really encouraged me to come here, and I'm glad I believed her advice. I'll keep an eye on future issues and let others know," she said.
CadMóvel Carioca visits a different neighborhood in Rio weekly, almost always on Thursdays, to provide assistance with CadÚnico-related needs. The schedule for these activities is posted on SMAS's Instagram (https://www.instagram.com/smas.rio/). To be served, both in the case of registration and data update, it is important to bring the CPFs of all members of the beneficiary family, in addition to presenting the following original documentation of the family member: official document with photo; CPF; voter registration card; work card; and proof of residence.
To date, people in social vulnerability from the following neighborhoods and their surroundings have benefited: Rocha Miranda, Cosmos, Penha Circular, Governor's Island, Madureira, Botafogo, Senador Vasconcelos, Mangueira, Engenho Novo, Estácio, Praça da Bandeira, Pavuna, Penha, Santa Cruz and City of God.
