CadMóvel Carioca returns to Ilha do Governador and surpasses 4.800 services provided to people in situations of social vulnerability.

The “CadMóvel Carioca – Connecting to Rights” returned to Ilha do Governador on Thursday (February 26th). This time, in Cocotá (the first visit was to Freguesia, in April 2025). There were 151 services provided for the Unified Registry (CadÚnico): 47 new registrations and 104 data updates. Since April of last year, when the weekly mobile service of the Rio Municipal Social Assistance Secretariat (SMAS) began, 4.840 people have benefited and started receiving or were able to maintain their social benefits, thanks to the initiative.

– We started the CadMóvel Carioca service almost a year ago, and since then we have seen the service grow, and more people being reached. In 2025, we covered almost 30 neighborhoods, and in 2026 we will go to many more, because this makes a difference in the lives of the people who need it most –, informed the municipal secretary of Social Assistance, Martha Rocha.

The Cocotá Esporte Clube hosted the 32nd edition of CadMóvel Carioca. Housewife Célia Maria de França, 70, learned about the initiative through Instagram, where SMAS (https://www.instagram.com/smas.rio/) publishes the service's schedule, and stopped by to update her registration.

"The community really needs this service. It's good for us because we can come here and get our problems resolved," she said, satisfied.

Maria Célia de Souza Leal, 69, also took advantage of the program in Cocotá. The retiree arrived very early, two hours before the distribution of the 200 service tickets, which took place at 9 am, as usual. She was able to update her information in the CadÚnico (Single Registry for Social Programs) to renew a benefit she receives.

"It was really quick and easy. It's a good thing CadMóvel came to us," she rejoiced.

The service's objective is precisely this: to expedite the processing of applications related to the Unified Registry for Social Programs (CadÚnico) and facilitate access for people in vulnerable social situations to programs such as Bolsa Família, the Continuous Benefit Payment (BPC), and the Senior Citizen's Card, among others.

For assistance, both in the case of registration and updating data in CadÚnico, it is important to bring the CPFs of all members of the beneficiary family, in addition to presenting the following original documentation of the family member: official document with photo; CPF; voter registration card; work card; and proof of residence.
