Documenta Rio nas Escolas provides nearly 400 services in Barreira do Vasco.

On Tuesday (April 28th), Documenta Rio nas Escolas provided 376 services at the João de Camargo Municipal School, in Barreira do Vasco, in the northern part of the city. From 9 am to 3 pm, students and their families obtained identity cards and birth and marriage certificates; updated their data in the Cadastro Único (CadÚnico), which guarantees access to social benefits; and also received vaccinations.

This was the 10th edition of the program, an initiative of the Municipal Committee for Policies to Promote Access to Civil Documentation (COMDOC-Rio), coordinated by the Sub-Secretariat for Basic Social Protection of the Municipal Secretariat of Social Assistance.

The main objective of this initiative is to facilitate access to civil documentation and social assistance services for the socially vulnerable population. The school was chosen as the location for the initiative because it is strategically positioned to serve students and their families. This is a joint activity of the agencies that make up COMDOC-Rio.

In Barreira do Vasco, the event included the participation of agencies that issue civil documentation, such as Detran-RJ (Rio de Janeiro State Traffic Department), the Federal Revenue Service, and the Public Defender's Office. Also participating were the Enrollment Supervision Management of the Municipal Education Secretariat (SME) and teams from the Deputy Luiz Eduardo Magalhães Social Assistance Reference Center (CRAS), responsible for serving the territory through the 1st Social Assistance Coordination (CAS).
