- Registration for the election of guardianship councilors in the city of Rio ends this Friday
Registration for the election of the city's guardians has been extended, and interested parties have until Friday (12/05) to apply. The selection is organized by the Municipal Council for the Rights of Children and Adolescents (CMDCA-Rio), the body that formulates and establishes public policies for these citizens. 190 representatives will be elected from the city's 19 councils, with five full members and five alternates in each unit already installed and operating in the capital.
On site https://cmdcario.com.br/ It is possible to consult all the election rules, including the requested documentation. Interested parties should be aware that certificates obtained from a notary's office are required and that they take a few days to be delivered.
Registration will take place on the ground floor of the Rio City Hall, located at Rua Afonso Cavalcanti 455, Cidade Nova. The office hours are from 9 am to 17 pm. The results of the evaluation of applications will be published in the Official Gazette on the 19th of this month. The deadline for appeals will be from May 22nd to 25th.
Currently, the salary of an elected and sworn-in guardianship counselor is R$4.501,28. The process will have several stages, including a specific knowledge test in August. Candidates who remain in the election will be able to campaign until September 30, and voting will be on October 1. The counting of votes will begin on the same day.
