Mayor leads second secretariat meeting of the 2025–2028 administration

Mayor Eduardo Paes gathered, this Sunday (18/5), the secretariat and the main managers of the municipal administration for the second meeting of the leaders of the 2025–2028 administration. The objective was to evaluate the actions already carried out and align the next goals of the City Hall.

During the meeting, the mayor highlighted the importance of strategic issues for the city, such as the advancement of urban transport services and the City Hall's new role in the area of ​​public safety.

– We want to ensure that regular city buses undergo the same evolution that we did with the BRT. There is also a new role that the City Hall is taking on in the area of ​​public safety with the creation of the Municipal Security Force, with the Armed Guard”, stated the mayor, who also highlighted the importance of holding this type of meeting to maintain the pace of the administration and ensure that the commitments made to the population are fulfilled.

– It is an assessment of how management is, demanding our goals and tasks, in addition to understanding the challenges that the city faces. So it is a day of accountability, evaluation, discussion, … It is Sunday. The people of Rio are resting or are having fun and we are here thinking about them – he declared.

The meeting ended with the presence of actress and writer Beth Goulart, who recited a composition of several texts by Clarice Lispector, part of the theatrical show “Simplesmente eu, Clarice Lispector”, which is being shown at Teatro Clara Nunes. The moment was a tribute to Rio de Janeiro as the World Book Capital, a title that the city holds this year.
