The survey covers the mayor's commitments, both during and after the campaign, and other proposals for the public to give their opinion on. Therefore, this Participa.Rio survey is an invitation for Rio residents to participate in the city's strategic planning – declared Rio's acting mayor, Eduardo Cavaliere, when launching the popular participation campaign at the Gentileza Intermodal Terminal.
At ten busy points in the city, throughout the week, City Hall agents will be available to encourage and assist Rio residents to participate in the survey. Using tablets and cell phones, they will help the public access Participa.Rio at the following locations: Gentileza Terminal, Alvorada Terminal, Santa Cruz Terminal, Mato Alto Terminal, Mercadão de Madureira BRT station, Taquara BRT station, Penha BRT station, Realengo Park, Acari Hospital and Tijuca Family Clinic.
The survey will be available on the Participa.Rio website until the end of March. The responses will be analyzed by the team at the Planning and Results Monitoring Sub-Secretariat (Subpar) of the Municipal Secretariat of the Civil House, so that they can be used in the Strategic Plan. The members of the City Council also participate in the decision-making process. Composed of more than 300 people who stand out in the city for their personal or professional performance, the City Council is a space for reflection on the city's challenges.
The Strategic Plan is one of the pillars for efficient municipal management. The City of Rio has defined five thematic axes that guide the administration: Fiscal Balance, Good Management and Governance; Civility and Security; Future, Economy and Happiness; Longevity, Equity and Humanities; Infrastructure, Disaster Prevention and Resilience.
