- The Rio de Janeiro City Hall has launched an online survey to gather public opinion on the revision of the Sustainable Development and Climate Action Plan.
The participa.rio platform is receiving contributions from Rio de Janeiro residents to update the city's strategic plan - Fabio Motta The initiative is coordinated by the Civil House, through the Sub-Secretariat of Planning and Monitoring of Results (SUBPAR), and is part of the goals of the City Hall's Strategic Plan, which foresees the expansion of channels for listening to and collaborating with the population through educational campaigns, in-person activities, and digital surveys.
Developed with broad public participation, the Sustainable Development Plan (PDS) brings together guidelines for sustainable development and actions to address climate change in Rio de Janeiro. The City Hall is now promoting a new public consultation to update the diagnosis of the territories and incorporate the current transformations and challenges of the city.
Among the actions planned to expand participation in Participa.Rio, in partnership with the Municipal Department of Education, meetings are scheduled in nine Regional Education Coordination offices (CREs), in different neighborhoods of the city. The program will take place from Tuesday (June 16th) until July 3rd, covering Tijuca, São Cristóvão, Barra da Tijuca, Rocha Miranda, Bangu, Pedra de Guaratiba, Engenho Novo and Campo Grande, bringing together parents, teachers and other interested parties to discuss the revision of the PDS (School Development Plan).
The contributions received through the platform will be considered in the plan review process, strengthening the collective construction of public policies and ensuring the continuity of a management model based on dialogue and citizen participation.
All residents of Rio de Janeiro can participate in the initiative. To contribute, simply visit participa.rio/pds and answer the survey.
