  • City government promotes campaign to respect diversity at Shakira's concert.

The Sexual Diversity Coordination Office of the Civil House is promoting the second edition of the campaign "Be Yourself, Without Prejudice, in Rio" on the eve and day of Shakira's concert, May 01st and 02nd, at Copacabana Beach. The initiative is part of the Diversity Blitz project. Agents will carry out awareness-raising activities with the public, distributing fans, stickers, and condoms, as well as disseminating information about the rights of the LGBTQIA+ population.

On May 1st, the day before the show, activities will take place in the southern zone, with the placement of informational signs and the distribution of condoms in commercial establishments. On May 2nd, educational agents will be working at two Copacabana metro stations, distributing materials and engaging in dialogue with the public.

The campaign highlights the importance of preventing sexually transmitted infections (STIs) and aims to strengthen Rio's position as a welcoming destination for everyone. The initiative also includes publicizing reporting channels and available public support services in the city.
