Traffic in the Sambadrome area and nearby roads will be altered for the Water Run Cedae race on Sunday (November 9th). To facilitate the sporting event, there will be road closures and parking restrictions from 3 am to 11 am on some roads in the area.
Agents from CET-Rio (Rio de Janeiro's traffic management company), the Municipal Guard, and traffic support personnel hired by the production team will be responsible for traffic management and providing guidance to drivers and pedestrians throughout the event. Technicians from the company's Operations and Resilience Center (COR-Rio) will monitor all traffic movement via cameras so that adjustments to traffic light programming can be made if necessary.
