CET-Rio will partially close traffic on Avenida Infante Dom Henrique (Aterro do Flamengo) and Avenida das Nações Unidas (Enseada de Botafogo) this Sunday (January 25th) for the Verão Carioca Run 2026 race. For the race, traffic on Aterro will be closed from midnight until 6 PM, when the leisure area closes. On Avenida das Nações Unidas, the road will be closed from 5 AM to 11 AM.
The race will start at 6:00 AM at Aterro, in front of the Monument to the Dead of the Second World War. The route will follow the southbound lane to Botafogo Cove. Drivers are advised to use alternative routes.
