Engineer Fernando Mac Dowell (Lagoa-Barra) highway will be partially closed for works

CET-Rio informs that the Engenheiro Fernando Mac Dowell Highway (Lagoa-Barra) will be partially closed on Tuesday (14/03), starting at 0:30. One lane along the shoulder, towards Barra da Tijuca, near Gávea Golf Club, will be closed to allow for pavement works, carried out by the Municipal Conservation Department.

The expected duration of the work is one month.

 

 

Vehicles coming from the South Zone and heading to Barra da Tijuca can use the route via Estrada da Gávea, towards Barra da Tijuca, via the access at Rua General Olímpio Mourão Filho. Another option is to use Avenida Niemeyer as an alternative route.

The traffic operation will involve the participation of CET-Rio agents, who will work to maintain fluidity and guide drivers during the intervention.

RECOMMENDATIONS

CET-Rio recommends that drivers avoid passing through the region during the construction period, trying to arrive at earlier times or use alternative routes.
