CET-Rio informs that, this Saturday (20/4), starting at 14 pm, the Engenheiro Fernando MacDowell Highway (Lagoa-Barra), will have one lane closed, in the direction of Gávea, in the section between Rua Princesa Diana de Gales and Rua Henrique Midosi, for deep repair works of the Smooth Asphalt Program. The expected completion date is 20 days.
This repair consists of replacing and maintaining the pavement components that are below the asphalt layer, in critical locations, so that the road receives new paving, preventing future subsidence.
To achieve this, it will be necessary to temporarily install a reversible lane on the lane towards Barra da Tijuca, in the same section, to ensure fluidity on the road towards Gávea, with Avenida Prefeito Mendes de Morais also being an option.
Traffic operation
CET-Rio operators will monitor traffic conditions and take action if necessary. Signal timings will be adjusted to improve fluidity on the detour route and on the region's main corridors.
