CET-Rio will implement a traffic operation in Copacabana, in the city's South Zone, this Sunday (June 28th), for the Minions Race. To make the event possible, the leisure area will be opened earlier, with traffic restrictions on sections of Avenida Atlântica and Rua Francisco Otaviano, from 3 am to 6 pm.
The reversible lane on Avenida Atlântica, in the lanes next to the buildings, will be implemented at its usual time, at 7 am.
The traffic operation will involve teams from CET-Rio (Rio de Janeiro's traffic management company) and the Municipal Guard to ensure road safety and traffic flow during the sporting event. Drivers should pay attention to signage and instructions from traffic officers and, whenever possible, use alternative routes.

Sunday (28/06), from 3am to 18pm:
• Avenida Atlântica, beachfront lane, between Rua Francisco Otaviano and Rua Francisco Sá;
• Rua Francisco Otaviano, between Avenida Nossa Senhora de Copacabana and Avenida Atlântica;
• Avenida Atlântica, the beachfront lane, between Rua Francisco Sá and Avenida Prado Júnior.
