Rebouças Tunnel
The Rebouças Tunnel will be closed, in the direction of the city center, from 11 PM this Tuesday (August 18th) to 5 AM on Wednesday (August 19th), for gallery revitalization work. The galleries in the opposite direction will operate with one reversible lane (the left lane) towards the city center and two traffic lanes towards Lagoa.
Elevation of the Flags
The lower deck of the Elevado das Bandeiras will be closed in the direction of São Conrado, from 11 PM this Tuesday (August 18th) to 4:30 AM on Wednesday (August 19th) for revitalization work. The Barra – São Conrado connection will be made via the upper deck of the Elevado das Bandeiras, which will be operating in the direction of São Conrado. CET-Rio agents will be on site to guide drivers.
Vice-President of the Republic José Alencar Tunnel
The Vice-President of the Republic José Alencar Tunnel will be closed this Tuesday (August 18th), in the direction of Santa Cruz, from 11 PM to 4 AM, for maintenance and cleaning services. Vehicles heading towards Santa Cruz will be diverted via Serra da Grota Funda (Avenida Artur Xexéo).
BRT buses heading towards Santa Cruz will have to use the opposite lane. Buses that normally use the lane, heading towards Barra, will continue on the common lane used by all vehicles.
CET Rio operators will be monitoring traffic conditions and will act as needed.
Guidance for drivers
Specific signage will be installed to guide and alert drivers. CET-Rio operators will be monitoring traffic conditions and will intervene if necessary. In addition, traffic light timings will be adjusted to improve traffic flow on the detour route and main corridors in the area. This schedule may be suspended due to weather conditions or operational issues in the city.
