The Rio de Janeiro Traffic Engineering Company (CET-Rio) will implement a special traffic scheme, starting at 7 am on Monday (February 2nd), for the construction of two underground high-voltage (138 kV) transmission lines for Light.
In this first phase, between February 2nd and 24th, one lane of the road will be closed to vehicle traffic on Rua Cachambi, in the section between Avenida Dom Hélder Câmara and Rua Degas.
The entire project is scheduled for completion in July 2026 and, during this phase, will be carried out from Monday to Friday, from 7:00 am to 5:30 pm.
The operation will have the support of hired traffic guides, in addition to CET-Rio agents.
Technicians at the Operations and Resilience Center (COR-Rio) will monitor the road using cameras.
