CET-Rio announces that the ZAYED CHARITY RUN will be held on Sunday (October 5th) on Avenida Atlântica in Copacabana. The sporting event will take place from 8:00 am to 1:00 pm, starting at post 6 and continuing along Avenida Atlântica, the Orla road. To facilitate the race, the road closure will be brought forward to midnight, which is normally closed from 7:00 am for leisure areas.
PROHIBITIONS
Sunday, 05/10
– Avenida Atlântica, road along the beachfront;
– Between Rua Francisco Otaviano and Rua Francisco Sá, from midnight to 6 pm (end of leisure area opening hours).
– Section between Rua Francisco Sá and Avenida Prado Júnior, from 3 am to 18 pm (end of leisure area hours).
PARKING BAN
From 18pm on Friday (10/03) to 12pm on Sunday, 10/05:
– Avenida Atlântica, in the building lane, in the two bays at 90º, between Rua Júlio de Castilhos and Rua Joaquim Nabuco.
City officials will work to ensure road safety, fluidity, and orderly traffic flow during the event. Technicians from CET-Rio, at the Operations and Resilience Center (COR-Rio), will monitor all traffic movements using cameras to make adjustments to traffic signal schedules if necessary to ensure good traffic conditions.
