CET-Rio has set up a special traffic plan for the technical rehearsals of the samba schools Portela, Imperatriz Leopoldinense and Império Serrano, next Sunday (11/12).
Portela
Starting at 16pm on Sunday, Portela's technical rehearsal will take place in Oswaldo Cruz, on Estrada do Portela, between Rua Clara Nunes and Rua Ernesto Lobão. To facilitate the event, the following roads will be closed from 16pm to 22pm:
– Portela Road, section between Guarapari Street and Maria Teixeira Street;
– Clara Nunes Street, section between Portela Road and Júlio Fragoso Street;
– Manacea Street;
– Antônio Badajós Street, the section between Manacéa Street and Sérgio de Oliveira Street;
– Sérgio de Oliveira Street, section between Portela Road and Antônio Badajós Street;
– Joaquim Teixeira Street, section between Portela Road and Maria Teixeira Street;
– General Aurelio Vieira Street;
– Rua Pirapora, section between Estrada do Portela and Rua General Rocha Maia;
– Perdigão Malheiros Street;
– Manuel Marques Street, the section between Portela Road and Antônio de Abreu Street.
To minimize potential impacts on traffic in the region, the operation will have traffic operators who will work to maintain fluidity, organize intersections and guide pedestrians and drivers.
Still with the aim of ensuring the fluidity of traffic, CET-Rio technicians located at the Rio Operations Center (COR) will monitor the event through cameras and, if necessary, traffic light adjustments will be implemented.
– Vehicles coming from Guarapari Street and heading to Portela Road (towards Italian Avenue) will follow Portela Road, Firmino Fragoso Street, Carolina Machado Street, Átila Silveira Street, Frei Bento Street, Rio das Pedras Street and Portela Road;
– Vehicles coming from Estrada do Portela and heading to Rua Carolina Machado (towards Cascadura) will follow Rua Maria Teixeira, Rua Taubaté, Rua Frei Bento and Rua Carolina Machado.

Empress Leopoldinense
Starting at 16pm on Sunday, the technical rehearsal of the Imperatriz Leopoldinense samba school will take place in Ramos, on Professor Lacé Street, between Uranos Street and Teixeira Franco Street. To facilitate the event, the following streets will be closed from 16pm to 22pm:
– Professor Lacé Street, section between Uranos Street and Teixeira Franco Street;
– Dr. Miguel Vieira Ferreira Street, the section between Aureliano Lessa Street and Euclides Faria Street.

Starting at 20pm on Sunday, the technical rehearsal of the Império Serrano samba school will take place in Madureira, on Rua Carvalho de Souza, between Rua Francisco Batista and Estrada do Portela. To facilitate the event, from 20pm to 22pm, the following roads will be closed:
– Carvalho de Souza Street, section between Francisco Batista Street and Ministro Edgard Romero Avenue;
– Portela Road, section between Minister Edgard Romero Avenue and Américo Brasiliense Street;
– Dagmar da Fonseca Street;
– Avenida Ministro Edgard Romero, section between Estrada do Portela and Rua Carolina Machado;
– Maria Freitas Street;
– Almerinda Freitas Crossing;
– Christmas Crossing.
Observation:
– Rua Carolina Machado will have two-way traffic implemented, in the section between Rua Francisco Batista and Rua Firmino Fragoso.
Detour:
– Vehicles coming from Carvalho de Souza Street, heading to Portela Road, will follow Francisco Batista Street, Carolina Machado Street (two-way section), Américo Brasiliense Street and Portela Road.
To minimize potential impacts on traffic in the region, the operation will have traffic operators who will work to maintain fluidity, prevent illegal parking, organize intersections and guide pedestrians and drivers.
