The traffic operation on each day of the event will involve 165 people, including CET-Rio agents, municipal guards and traffic support personnel, 18 operational vehicles and 35 motorcycles. The teams will work to organize intersections, guide pedestrians, prevent illegal parking and implement necessary roadblocks to ensure the maintenance of the fluidity of the road network and the safety of pedestrians, partygoers and drivers.
In addition, CET-Rio trailers will be positioned to immediately clear the roads in the event of accidents or vehicle breakdowns on the diversion routes.
The Rio Operations Center (COR) will be monitoring all events with cameras so that CET-Rio technicians can implement adjustments to traffic light programming to ensure traffic flow. Special traffic light plans will be programmed to ensure flow on alternative routes due to road closures.
