CET-Rio sets up traffic operation for the match between Fluminense and Madureira, on Ilha do Governador.
Published on 13/01/2026 - 16:47 | UpdatedThe Rio de Janeiro Traffic Engineering Company (CET-Rio) will set up a traffic operation for the match between Fluminense and Madureira, this Wednesday (January 14th), at 7 pm, at the Luso-Brasileiro stadium, in Portuguesa, Ilha do Governador, for the State Championship. To facilitate the event, Rua Figueira da Foz will be closed to vehicle traffic from 5 pm to 11 pm. Rua Haroldo Lobo will be one-way from Rua Eduardo Nadruz towards Praça Elis Regina.
To minimize any potential impact on traffic in the area, the traffic operation will involve 18 traffic officers, who will work to maintain traffic flow and manage intersections, as well as guide pedestrians and drivers. Technicians from CET-Rio working at the Operations and Resilience Center (COR) will monitor the event via cameras and, if necessary, make traffic light adjustments.

– Figueira da Foz Street is closed
– One-way traffic will be implemented on Haroldo Lobo Street, from Eduardo Nadruz Street towards Elis Regina Square.
– Detour: Vehicles coming from Estrada do Galeão, heading towards Praça Elis Regina, will follow Rua Haroldo Lobo and Praça Elis Regina.
