CET-Rio sets up special operation for Fluminense vs. Independiente Rivadavia at Maracanã.

The Rio de Janeiro Traffic Engineering Company (CET-Rio) will implement a special traffic operation this Tuesday (August 11th) for the Fluminense vs. Independiente Rivadavia Libertadores match, which will take place at 7 pm at the Maracanã stadium. From 5 pm onwards, there will be traffic restrictions in the stadium area. In addition to regulated no-parking zones, other roads will have parking restrictions starting at 10 am.

The operational plan will involve CET-Rio agents and traffic support personnel, as well as operational vehicles and motorcycles, who will work to guide traffic, ensure road safety, maintain traffic flow and keep intersections clear, and guide pedestrians, fans, and drivers. Thirteen variable message signs will provide information about closure times and alternative routes.

Technicians from CET-Rio, at the Operations and Resilience Center (COR-Rio), will monitor all traffic movement through cameras so that, if necessary, adjustments can be made to the traffic light programming, with the aim of ensuring good road conditions.
