CET-Rio promotes traffic changes for the Yabás Fair, in Oswaldo Cruz
Published on 10/10/2025 - 17:09 | UpdatedCET-Rio informs that it will close Praça Paulo da Portela, in the section between Rua Guarapari and Rua Maria Teixeira, for the Yabás Fair, in Oswaldo Cruz, on Sunday (12/10). The closures will take place from midnight to 10 pm and other roads will also have traffic changes.
Teams from CET-Rio and the Municipal Guard (GM-Rio) will be committed to guiding drivers and implementing the necessary roadblocks.
CET-Rio technicians, at the Operations and Resilience Center (COR-Rio), will monitor all traffic movement through cameras so that, if necessary, adjustments can be made to the traffic light schedule with the aim of ensuring good traffic conditions in the region.
To facilitate the event, the following roads will be closed from midnight to 10 pm:
– Portela Road, section between Firmino Fragoso Street and Maria Teixeira Street;
– Rua Clara Nunes, section between Estrada do Portela and Rua Júlio Fragoso;
– Manacea Street;
– Ernesto Lobão Street, section between Portela Road and Antônio Badajós Street;
– Sérgio de Oliveira Street, section between Portela Road and Antônio Badajós Street;
– Joaquim Teixeira Street, section between Portela Road and Maria Teixeira Street;
– Rua Pirapora, section between Estrada do Portela and Rua General Rocha Maia;
– Perdigão Malheiros Street;
– Manuel Marques Street, section between Portela Road and Antônio de Abreu Street;
DEVIATIONS
– Vehicles coming from Guarapari Street, heading to Portela Road (towards Av. dos Italianos), will follow Portela Road, Firmino Fragoso Street, Carolina Machado Street, Átila Silveira Street, Frei Bento Street, Rio das Pedras Street, Armando Fajardo Square and Portela Road;
– Vehicles coming from Estrada do Portela, heading to Rua Carolina Machado (towards Cascadura), will follow Rua Maria Teixeira, Rua Taubaté, Rua Frei Bento and Rua Carolina Machado.
IMPORTANT RECOMMENDATIONS
– Drivers are advised to use alternative routes and, if possible, move their journeys forward.
– Pedestrians must cross in safe, signposted locations.
– It is important that everyone follows the instructions of traffic officers and the signs installed in the area.
– There will be no parking available for the event. Therefore, public transportation is recommended.
