CET-Rio will implement a traffic operation for the Feira das Yabás event, this Sunday (September 13th), in Oswaldo Cruz, North Zone of the city. The event will take place from 10 am onwards, at Praça Paulo da Portela, between Rua Guarapari and Rua Maria Teixeira. To enable the fair to take place, there will be traffic closures in the area starting at midnight, with the roads expected to reopen at 10 pm.
The operation will involve traffic officers who will work to maintain traffic flow, manage intersections, and guide drivers and pedestrians throughout the event. Technicians from CET-Rio, at the Operations and Resilience Center (COR-Rio), will monitor traffic movement through cameras and, if necessary, make adjustments to the traffic light programming to maintain fluidity in the area.
The public should give preference to public transportation to get to the location and use the designated crossing areas. Drivers should pay attention to the signage and follow the instructions of traffic officers.
