  • CET-Rio has a special traffic scheme for the Fluminense and Vasco game at Maracanã
Streets around Maracanã stadium begin to be closed at 13pm - CET-Rio

CET-Rio has set up a traffic plan for the game between Fluminense and Vasco, which takes place this Saturday (20/4), at 16 pm, for the 2024 Brasileirão, at the Maracanã Stadium. From 13 pm onwards, there will be traffic restrictions in the area where the match will take place.

CET-Rio will have 55 traffic agents and support staff, eight operational vehicles and 12 motorcycles that will be involved in directing traffic. In addition, 13 variable message panels will provide information on the closing times and alternative routes, to ensure the fluidity and safety of pedestrians and drivers.

In real time, CET-Rio technicians, at the Rio Operations Center (COR), will monitor all traffic movement using cameras so that, if necessary, adjustments can be made to the traffic light schedule with the aim of ensuring good road conditions.
