Vice-President José Alencar Tunnel to be closed for maintenance - Archive/Rio City Hall CET-Rio will close the Vice-President José Alencar Tunnel, towards Recreio, this Thursday (18/03), from 23pm to 4am. The measure aims to enable maintenance and conservation services of the drainage galleries and cleaning of the tunnel walls in Grota Funda.
Vehicles traveling along Avenida D. João VI heading to Barra must follow Avenida das Américas, Serra da Grota Funda, Rua dos Servidores, access ramp to Avenida das Américas, heading towards Barra.
CET-Rio teams will work on both the roadblocks and the diversion route, guiding road users. This schedule may be suspended at any time due to weather conditions or operational issues in the city.
