CET-Rio will implement a traffic operation this Sunday (May 24th) for the "Corre no Bairro – Etapa Jacarepaguá" sporting event, in the Anil and Freguesia neighborhoods, in the West Zone of the city. To facilitate the race, there will be traffic closures from 4 am to 10 am on sections of Estrada de Jacarepaguá, Estrada do Engenho D'Água and Estrada Tenente Coronel Muniz de Aragão.
Vehicles traveling through the region will be diverted via Estrada do Engenho D'Água, Estrada de Jacarepaguá, towards Rio das Pedras, returning at the first available access to continue towards Freguesia. Another diversion will be made via Estrada de Jacarepaguá, Estrada do Engenho D'Água and Estrada Tenente Coronel Muniz de Aragão.
CET-Rio agents and traffic assistants will be in the area to guide drivers, ensure smooth traffic flow, and road safety during the event. Drivers should pay attention to the signage in place and, whenever possible, use alternative routes when traveling through the area.
Pedestrians should cross the street at safe and properly marked locations. It is also essential to follow the instructions of traffic officers and respect the signage in the area. Whenever possible, it is recommended to use public transportation to reach the event location and to move around the area.
