The Bandeiras elevated highway and tunnels will be closed this Thursday for construction and maintenance.

CET-Rio informs that the Santa Bárbara Tunnel will be closed, this Thursday (October 30th), in the Santo Cristo direction, from 10 PM to 5 AM, for structural repairs carried out by the Conservation Secretariat. The tunnel in the Laranjeiras direction will operate normally.

The Vice-President José Alencar Tunnel will be closed in the direction of Barra da Tijuca, from 23 PM to 4 AM, for maintenance work. Vehicles in the closed direction will be diverted via Serra da Grota Funda (Avenida Artur Xexéo). BRT buses heading towards Barra will travel along the opposite tunnel lane. Buses that normally travel along the lane heading towards Santa Cruz will continue on the common lane used by all vehicles.

The Rebouças Tunnel tunnels will be closed in the Lagoa direction from 23:30 PM to 5:XNUMX AM for maintenance work. The tunnels in the opposite direction will operate with one reversible lane, on the left, heading towards the South Zone. The other two lanes will be open towards the Center.

The lower deck of the Elevado das Bandeiras will be closed in the direction of São Conrado from 23 p.m. to 4:30 a.m. for maintenance. The Barra da Tijuca-São Conrado connection will be via the upper deck.

At all scheduled closures, specific signage will be installed to guide and alert drivers, and CET-Rio operators will monitor traffic conditions and, if necessary, take action. In addition, traffic light times will be adjusted to ensure fluidity on detour routes and on the main corridors in the regions.

The program may be suspended at any time due to weather conditions or operational issues in the city.
