The lower deck of the Elevado das Bandeiras will be closed for maintenance work - Rio City Hall Elevated Engineer Freyssinet and Rufino Pizarro
The Engenheiro Freyssinet (over Avenida Paulo de Frontin) and Rufino Pizarro elevated highways will be closed for maintenance work, in the direction of the South Zone, on Friday (March 13th), from 11:30 PM to 5:00 AM on Saturday (March 14th). As an alternative route, drivers should follow Avenida Paulo de Frontin and then the Rebouças Tunnel.

Elevation of the Flags
The lower deck of the Elevado das Bandeiras will be closed in the direction of São Conrado, from 11 pm on Friday (March 13th) to 4:30 am on Saturday (March 14th) for maintenance. The Barra – São Conrado connection will be made via the upper deck of the Elevado das Bandeiras, which will be operating in the direction of São Conrado.
Guidance for drivers
There will be specific signage to guide and alert drivers. CET-Rio operators will monitor traffic conditions and intervene if necessary. In addition, traffic light timings will be adjusted to improve traffic flow on the detour route and main corridors in the affected areas.
