The Paulo de Frontin Elevated Highway will be closed for routine maintenance - Archive/City of Rio The Engenheiro Freyssinet (over Avenida Paulo de Frontin) and Rufino Pizarro elevated highways will be closed for maintenance work, in the direction of the North Zone, this Friday (February 27th), from 11:30 PM to 5:00 AM on Saturday (February 28th). As an alternative route, drivers should follow Avenida Paulo de Frontin.
There will be specific signage to guide and alert drivers. CET-Rio operators will monitor traffic conditions and intervene if necessary. In addition, traffic light timings will be adjusted to improve traffic flow on the detour route and main corridors in the area.
