The area around Intendente Magalhães will be closed for carnival parades this weekend

Intendente Magalhães will once again host carnival parades this weekend - Marcelo Piu/City of Rio CET-Rio informs that, this weekend (April 29th, 30th and May 4st), Estrada Intendente Magalhães, in Campinho, will host the parades on the stretch between Rua Domingos Lopes and Rua Anália Franco. The closures will take place from 1:5 p.m. to 21:6 a.m. on April 29th; from 4:18 p.m. to 6:30 a.m. on April 4th; and from 14:23 p.m. to 59:1 p.m. on May 5st, on the following roads:
– Intendente Magalhães Road (even-numbered lane), between Domingos Lopes and Pereira de Figueiredo streets;
– Intendente Magalhães Road (odd-numbered lane), between Anália Franco and Cândido Benício streets;
– Captain Couto Menezes Street, between Maria José Street and Intendente Magalhães Road;
– Surroundings of the Farmers’ Square;
– Carlos Xavier Street, section between Maria José Street and Intendente Magalhães Road;
– Conde de Linhares Street, between Maria José Street and Intendente Magalhães Road;
– Araçuaí Street, section between Ana Teles Street and Intendente Magalhães Road;
– Cincinato da Silva Street, between Ana Teles Street and Intendente Magalhães Road;
– Return from the intersection of Estrada Intendente Magalhães (central flowerbed) with Rua Pereira de Figueiredo.

Deviations
– Vehicles coming from Intendente Magalhães Road and heading to the Negrão de Lima Viaduct must follow Ernani Cardoso Street, Padre Manso Street and the Negrão de Lima Viaduct;
– Vehicles coming from Domingos Lopes Street and heading to Valqueire should follow Maria José Street, Andrade Araújo Street, Maria José Street, Pereira de Figueiredo Street and Intendente Magalhães Road;
– Vehicles coming from Intendente Magalhães Road and heading to Largo de Campinho should follow Anália Franco Street, Pinto Telles Street, Cândido Benício Street and Largo do Campinho.
