Night closure of tunnels in the South Zone this Monday and Tuesday

CET-Rio will close the tunnels this Monday (17/08), from 23:50 to 04:30 Zuzu Angel e Acoustic Rafael Mascarenhas de Morais, direction Gávea, and Santa Barbara, towards Laranjeiras, for maintenance and cleaning. This Tuesday (18/08), at the same time, it will be the turn of the closure of Paulo de Frontin Elevated (section corresponding to the Rufino Pizarro and Freyssinet Viaducts) towards the Center.

Starting at 23:50 p.m. this Monday, vehicles in São Conrado heading towards Lagoa should use Avenida Niemeyer, which will be operating normally. On Tuesday, starting at 23:50 p.m., those leaving the Rebouças Tunnel heading towards the North Zone should follow Avenida Paulo de Frontin.

CET-Rio agents will be on site to guide drivers. These two programs may be suspended due to heavy rain or other demands in the city.

On Tuesday, closing of the Vice President José de Alencar Tunnel

On Tuesday, August 18, CET-Rio will completely close the Vice Presidente José de Alencar Tunnel, towards Santa Cruz, from 08 pm to 23 am. The closure aims to enable maintenance and conservation services for the drainage galleries and cleaning of the tunnel walls.

Vehicles traveling along Av. das Américas towards Santa Cruz must follow Serra da Grota Funda, Estrada Roberto Burle Marx, return ramp towards Santa Cruz, Av. D. João VI, towards Santa Cruz.
