Flamengo faces Estudiantes at Maracanã with special traffic operation.

The Rio de Janeiro Traffic Engineering Company (CET-Rio) will implement a traffic operation on Wednesday (May 20th), starting at 6:30 PM, for the match between Flamengo and Club Estudiantes de La Plata (ARG) for the Conmebol Libertadores. The match will be held at 9:30 PM at the Maracanã Stadium. In addition to existing restrictions, other roads will have parking restrictions starting at 10 AM.

The traffic plan will involve CET-Rio agents and traffic support personnel, operational vehicles, and motorcycles dedicated to traffic guidance. The operation will also include 13 variable message signs providing information on closure times and alternative routes.

The operation aims to promote road safety, traffic flow, and the maintenance of clear intersections, as well as to guide drivers, pedestrians, and fans.

CET-Rio technicians, at the Operations and Resilience Center (COR-Rio), will monitor all traffic movement through cameras so that, if necessary, adjustments can be made to the traffic light schedule to ensure good road conditions.
