Flamengo vs. Cruzeiro: CET-Rio will implement special operations for the game at Maracanã.

The Rio de Janeiro Traffic Engineering Company (CET-Rio) will implement a special traffic operation this Wednesday (August 19th) for the Flamengo vs. Cruzeiro match in the Conmebol Libertadores, which will take place at 08:30 PM at the Maracanã stadium. Starting at 21:30 PM, there will be traffic restrictions in the surrounding area and access to the stadium. In addition to regulated areas with no parking, other roads will have parking restrictions starting at 10:18 AM.

The operational plan will involve CET-Rio agents and traffic support personnel, as well as operational vehicles and motorcycles, who will work to guide traffic, ensure road safety, maintain traffic flow and keep intersections clear, and guide pedestrians, fans, and drivers. A total of 13 variable message signs will provide information about closure times and alternative routes.

Technicians from CET-Rio, at the Operations and Resilience Center (COR-Rio), will monitor all traffic movement through cameras so that, if necessary, adjustments can be made to the traffic light programming, with the aim of ensuring good road conditions.

Mata Machado Street, between Paula Sousa Avenue and Maracanã Avenue;

Oduvaldo Cozzi Viaduct, at all access points to Avenida Maracanã;

Professor Manoel de Abreu Avenue, in the direction of Praça da Bandeira, between São Francisco Xavier Street and Rei Pelé Avenue;

Dona Zulmira Street, between Professor Manoel de Abreu Avenue and São Francisco Xavier Street.

For Vila Isabel and Grajaú: use Avenida Paulo de Frontin and Rua Doutor Satamini or follow Praça da Bandeira, Rua Pará or Rua Paraíba, Rua Mariz e Barros, Rua Major Ávila and Rua Felipe Camarão;

For the Greater Méier region: use Visconde de Niterói Street.

Coming from Tijuca, Grajaú, Vila Isabel and surrounding areas
