Published on 15/04/2026 - 18:47 | Updated
CET-Rio will implement a traffic operation this Thursday (April 16th), starting at 6:30 PM, for the game between Flamengo and Independiente Medellín (COL), for the Conmebol Libertadores. The match will be held at 9:30 PM, at the Maracanã Stadium. In addition to the existing prohibitions, there will be parking restrictions on roads surrounding the stadium starting at 10 AM.
The operational plan will involve CET-Rio agents, traffic support personnel, operational vehicles, and motorcycles, who will work to guide drivers, pedestrians, and fans. The operation will also include 13 variable message signs with information on closure times and alternative routes, aiming to ensure traffic flow, road safety, and the maintenance of clear intersections.
At the Operations and Resilience Center (COR-Rio), CET-Rio technicians will monitor traffic flow using cameras. If necessary, adjustments will be made to the traffic light programming to ensure good traffic flow in the area.
