Partial closures on Avenida Brasil between Realengo and Santíssimo: detours from this Friday night

The City of Rio, through CET-Rio and SMIHC (Municipal Secretariat of Infrastructure, Housing and Conservation), informs that starting today, Friday (04/09), from 22 pm to 5 am the following day, Av. Brasil will be partially closed for paving works. To make the procedure viable, it will be necessary to close 1 lane of Av. Brasil, in the direction of Santa Cruz, between Corredor Presidente Tancredo Neves and Rotatória do Santíssimo. The completion of the intervention is scheduled for October 02.

The diversion will be carried out on the road itself, in the narrow section. No impact on traffic is expected, as the procedure will be itinerant and in sections shorter than 200 meters.

The closures will involve the participation of traffic operators and Conservation staff who will work to maintain fluidity, carry out the blockade and guide drivers during the procedure. Specific signage will be installed to guide and alert drivers.
