The Monument to Estácio de Sá participates in the Yellow May campaign - Disclosure The City Council building in downtown Rio and the Monument to Estácio de Sá in Aterro do Flamengo will receive special lighting starting this Tuesday (2/5) and will be participating in the Yellow May campaign throughout the month of May. The action is part of the movement to raise awareness in society about reducing traffic fatalities.
The CET-Rio initiative, in partnership with Rioluz, aims to encourage society to reflect on the high number of deaths and injuries in traffic, in addition to proposing a change in attitude capable of transforming this reality. The National Traffic Secretariat (Senatran) approved the new theme for the educational campaigns carried out in 2023, the year in which the Movement completes 10 years: “In traffic, choose life”.
To draw society's attention to the issue, CET-Rio will carry out several actions throughout the month of May.
