  • City Hall announces partial closures on the Red Line for maintenance work

 The City of Rio, through CET-Rio and the Municipal Secretariat of Infrastructure, Housing and Conservation (SMIHC), informs that between this Tuesday (27/10) and 10/12 the Linha Vermelha will be partially closed for maintenance services. To make the SMIHC procedure viable, it will be necessary:

  • From 8:15 to XNUMX:XNUMX:  close 1 lane of the Red Line, towards Baixada, between Rua Francisco Eugênio and the access to the Red Line in Caju;
  • From 10:16 to XNUMX:XNUMX: Close 1 lane of the Red Line, towards Túnel Rebouças, between the access to the Red Line in Caju and Rua Francisco Eugênio.

 *

The diversions will be carried out on the road itself, in the narrow section. No impact on traffic is expected, as the procedures will take place in the direction of the road with less traffic.

The closures will be carried out by CET-Rio traffic operators and Conservation employees who will work to maintain traffic flow, carry out roadblocks and guide drivers through the procedures. Specific signage will be installed to guide and alert drivers.
