City roads will be closed for works on the Transbrasil corridor

City Hall announces new closures for Transbrasil works

The City of Rio, through CET-Rio, will implement new road closures to facilitate the Transbrasil construction work. The operations will involve the participation of traffic operators, including CET-Rio agents, the Municipal Guard and outsourced workers, who will work to maintain fluidity, guide drivers and set up roadblocks during the interventions. In addition, specific signage will be installed to guide and alert drivers.

 NEW PROHIBITIONS

1. AV. RODRIGUES ALVES, AT THE BUS STATION

Start: 12/09 (Saturday)

End: 17/09

Starting Saturday (12/09), the operation to launch beams for the future connecting loop between Gasômetro and Av. Rodrigues Alves will continue. The loop will facilitate the direct connection between Av. Brasil, Linha Vermelha and Ponte Rio-Niterói, without going through the bus station, to the South Zone and Santos Dumont Airport. To make the procedure viable, it will be necessary:

• From 22pm to 4am the following day: completely close Av. Rodrigues Alves, towards Aterro. Consequently, the Marcello Alencar Tunnel, towards Aterro, will be closed;
• From 22 pm to 4 am the following day: close 1 lane (left side) of Av. Rodrigues Alves, towards Av. Brasil;
• From 23pm to midnight: completely close Av. Brasil, central lane, towards Deodoro, between Walkways 0 and 21, and all access points from the side lane to the central lane;
• From 23pm to midnight: close two lanes of Av. Brasil, central lane, towards the Center, at the Trevo das Margaridas;
• From 23:15 pm to 23:30 pm: completely close Av. Brasil, side lane, towards Deodoro, at Passarela 23.

To make the alternative route between the Center and the South Zone of the city viable, the closure for routine maintenance of the Santa Bárbara Tunnel, towards Laranjeiras, on 14/09 (Monday) is suspended.

 

MAIN PROHIBITIONS

From 22pm to 4am the following day: complete closure of Av. Rodrigues Alves (towards Aterro) and one lane towards Av. Brasil

 

DEVIATIONS

Vehicles bound for the South Zone

They will be diverted via Via B4, Via Binário do Porto, Venezuela Avenue, Camerino Street, Passos Avenue, Republic of Paraguay Avenue, Teixeira de Freitas Street and Infante Dom Henrique Avenue to their destination.

Vehicles heading to Av. Brasil

They will be diverted to the right lanes, in the narrow section.

From 23pm to midnight: total closure of the central lane (towards Deodoro) and 0 lanes of the central lane (towards Centro)

 

For 15 minutes (from 23:15 pm to 23:30 pm) the side lane, towards Deodoro, at the height of Passarela 23, will also be closed.

DEVIATIONS

Deodoro direction: vehicles will be diverted to the side lane.

Center direction: vehicles will be diverted to the right lanes, in the narrow section.

2. BETWEEN WALKWAYS 20 AND 19, LUCAS STOP

Start: 14/09 (Monday)

Estimated completion date: 30/09

Starting at 8 am on Monday (14/09) the operation to build the drainage network on Av. Brasil, near Parada de Lucas, will continue. The work aims to eliminate flooding points in the region. To make the procedure viable, it will be necessary:

• Close one lane of the Side lane (right side) of Av. Brasil, towards the Center, between Passarelas 20 and 19. Access to the neighborhood's internal roads will remain open;
• Close a lane in the section between Av. Brasil and Rua Caruna;
• Close a lane in the section between Av. Brasil and Rua Pinto da Luz.

DETOUR: vehicles will be diverted to the left lane, in the narrow section.

3. HEIGHT OF WALKWAY 23, IRAJÁ

Start: 14/09 (Monday)

Estimated completion date: 12/10

Starting at 23:14 p.m. on Monday (09/23), construction of the definitive switch and lane dividers on Av. Brasil, near Irajá, will begin. To make the procedure viable, it will be necessary to close the temporary switch, from the side lane to the center lane, and the connecting lane between the lanes of Av. Brasil, towards the center, near Passarela XNUMX.

 

 

 

DEVIATIONS: vehicles will be able to access the central lane at the next needle located 1km ahead.

4. HEIGHT OF ÁLVARO DE MACEDO STREET, LUCAS STOP

Start: 14/09 (Monday)

Estimated completion date: 02/10

Starting Monday (14/09), from 23pm to 4am the following day, the operation to build water collection boxes will begin on Av. Brasil, near Parada de Lucas. To make the procedure viable, it will be necessary:

• Completely close Av. Brasil, central lane, towards the Center, between Rua Álvaro de Macedo and the Missões Interchange;
• Close the needles, from the side to the central lane, located on Av. Brasil, towards the center, between Rua Álvaro de Macedo and Trevo das Missões;
• Open a temporary switch, from the central to the side lane, on Av. Brasil, towards the center, at the height of Rua Álvaro de Macedo.

 

DETOUR: vehicles will be diverted to the side lane and will be able to return to the central lane via the switch located after the Trevo das Missões.

EXTENDED TRAFFIC CLOSURES

1. HEIGHT OF SANTOS LIMA STREET, SAINT CHRISTOPHER

Start: 15/08

Expected end date: 12/09 → 19/09

Closure of the side lane of Av. Brasil, towards Rodoviária, opposite INTO, between Rua Santos Lima and Av. Francisco Bicalho, for construction of the bus station. Rua São Cristóvão remains blocked. Therefore, it will not be possible to use it to access Av. Brasil.

DEVIATIONS: vehicles coming from the side lane of Av. Brasil and Rua Santos Lima heading to Av. Francisco Bicalho must access the Central lane at Rua Santos Lima and keep to the right to access Av. Francisco Bicalho.

 

 

2. BRIGADEIRO TROMPOWSKI AVENUE

Start: 22/08

Expected end date: 15/09 → 30/09

Closure of one lane (left side) of Brigadeiro Trompowski Avenue, towards Ilha do Governador, for the construction of a drainage network. DETOUR: to ensure that vehicles can be diverted to the right lane, parking is prohibited along the entire length of the road. EXPLANATORY LEAFLETS: were distributed in the region to inform and guide the population about the work and the prohibition of parking on the road, as illustrated below.

 

 

3. NEAR THE WALKWAY 23, IRAJÁ

 

 

Expected end date: 15/09 → 30/09

Closure of one lane (left side) of the Side lane of Av. Brasil, towards Deodoro, near Passarela 23 (Irajá), for the construction of lane dividers.

DETOUR: vehicles will be diverted to the right lanes, in the narrow section.

 

4. NEAR THE WALKWAY 28, COELHO NETO

 

Start: 15/08

 

Expected end date: 15/09 → 30/09

 

Closure of one lane (left side) of the Side lane of Av. Brasil, towards Deodoro, near Passarela 28, and the existing access between the two lanes in Coelho Neto, for the construction of lane dividers. A switch from the central lane to the side lane was opened.

DETOUR: vehicles on the side lane will be diverted to the right lane, in the narrow section.
