CET-Rio informs that, between this Friday (1/9) and September 10, during the Book Biennial, at Riocentro, a special traffic plan has been set up for the event. The literary fair schedules are presented below:
– Friday (1/9): from 9am to 21pm
– Saturday and Sunday (2 and 3/9): from 10am to 22pm
– Monday to Wednesday (4, 5 and 6/9): from 9am to 21pm
– Thursday and Friday (7th and 8th September): from 9am to 9pm
– Saturday and Sunday (9 and 10/9): from 10am to 22pm
interdiction
On Saturdays, Sundays and holidays (September 2nd, 3rd, 7th, 9th and 10th), days when greater movement is expected in the region, Rua Pedro Calmon will be closed between Avenida Salvador Allende and Rua Abrahão Jabour, from 8 am to 23 pm.
To minimize potential impacts on traffic in the region, a specific traffic operation will be implemented, which will involve 50 people per day, including CET-Rio employees and contracted traffic operators, who will work to maintain fluidity, prevent illegal parking, organize intersections, and guide pedestrians and drivers.
Also with the aim of ensuring the flow of traffic, CET-Rio technicians located at the Rio Operations Center (COR) will monitor the event using cameras and, if necessary, traffic light adjustments will be implemented. 14 variable message panels will be used to inform about traffic conditions and detour routes.
Recommendations
– Use public transport
– Respect the places and times where parking is prohibited
– Respect the signs and instructions of traffic agents
– Pedestrians must cross at crosswalks, in traffic lighted areas or with the assistance of traffic agents.
– During the event, it is recommended that drivers in the region use the Av. das Américas/Av. Ayrton Senna route to connect to Linha Amarela due to possible overloading of vehicle traffic on Av. Salvador Allende and Av. Embaixador Abelardo Bueno.
