Rua da Carioca will be partially closed for construction work

CET-Rio informs that, starting this Wednesday (24/9), Rua da Carioca, in the city center, will be partially closed for urban improvement works aimed at the implementation of Rua da Cerveja. The road closure foresees the interruption of vehicular traffic in the lane located next to the left side of the road, in the section between buildings numbered 2 and 78.

The works, carried out by the Municipal Infrastructure Secretariat (SMI), are expected to last 30 days in this first stage.

Traffic agents from CET-Rio and the Municipal Guard will be on site to guide drivers and monitor traffic conditions. Additionally, third-party agents will support traffic operations.
