Traffic will be closed for the TAG RUN race on the streets of Tijuca
Published on 27/09/2025 - 14:22 | UpdatedCET-Rio informs that, on Sunday (September 28th), there will be traffic closures from 5:00 am to 10:00 am for the TAG RUN race in Tijuca. City officials will work to ensure road safety, fluidity, and orderly traffic during the event.
City officials will work to ensure road safety, fluidity, and orderly traffic flow during the event. Technicians from CET-Rio, at the Operations and Resilience Center (COR-Rio), will monitor all traffic movements using cameras to make adjustments to traffic signal schedules if necessary to ensure good traffic conditions.
PROHIBITIONS
SUNDAY (28/09), from 5am to 10am:
– Conde de Bonfim Street (towards the center):
between Largo Augusto Elísio and Rua Uruguai;
between Uruguay Street and Abelardo Chacrinha Barbosa Street.
– Itacuruçá Street, between Andrade Neves Street and Conde de Bonfim Street;
– Viscount of Cabo Frio Street, between Conde de Bonfim Street and Baron of Corumbá Square;
– José Higino Street, between Andrade Neves Street and Conde de Bonfim Street;
– Clóvis Beviláqua Street, along its entire length;
– Henry Ford Street, along its entire length;
– Conde de Itaguaí Street, between Antônio Basílio Street and Conde de Bonfim Street;
– Desembargador Isidro Street, at the access to José Higino Street.
DEVIATIONS
During the closure hours, vehicles must follow:
• Vehicles coming from Rua Conde de Bonfim must follow Rua Andrade Neves, Rua José Higino, Rua Bom Pastor and Rua General Roca;
• Vehicles coming from Rua Antônio Basílio, towards the Center, must follow Rua Antônio Basílio, Rua José Higino, Rua Maria Amália and Rua Uruguai, accessing via the block closest to your residence.
DOUBLE DIRECTION OF TRAFFIC
Two-way traffic will be implemented during the closure period on the following roads:
– Itacuruçá Street (between Andrade Neves Street and Conde de Bonfim Street);
– Visconde de Cabo Frio Street (entire length);
– José Higino Street (between Andrade Neves Street and Conde de Bonfim Street);
– Clóvis Beviláqua Street (entire length);
– Henry Ford Street (entire length);
• Conde de Irajá Street (between Antônio Basílio Street and Conde de Bonfim Street).
IMPORTANT RECOMMENDATIONS:
• Avoid traveling through the region during the closure period, and if possible, travel in advance.
• Give preference to using public transport for travel.
• Respect the installed signs and pay attention to the instructions of traffic agents.
