Rebouças is one of the tunnels that will be closed for gallery maintenance - Archive/City of Rio The Rebouças Tunnel will be closed, in the direction of the city center, from 23:30 pm this Monday (1/12) to 5 am on Tuesday (1/13), for maintenance work. The tunnels in the opposite direction will operate with one reversible lane (left) in the direction of the city center and two traffic lanes in the direction of Lagoa.
The Zuzu Angel and Acústico Rafael Mascarenhas tunnels will be closed, in the direction of Gávea, from 11:30 PM to 5:00 AM, for maintenance work. The main alternative route is Avenida Niemeyer.
The Santa Bárbara Tunnel will be closed, in the direction of Laranjeiras, from 23 PM to 4:30 AM, for maintenance work. The tunnel in the direction of Santo Cristo will operate normally.
Specific signage will be installed to guide and alert drivers. CET-Rio operators will monitor traffic conditions and intervene if necessary. In addition, traffic light timings will be adjusted to improve traffic flow on the detour route and main corridors in the affected areas.
