Vice-President José Alencar Tunnel will be closed in the Santa Cruz direction for maintenance - Archive/Rio City Hall

CET-Rio informs that the Santa Bárbara Tunnel will be closed this Tuesday (October 28st), in the direction of Santo Cristo, from 11 pm to 5 am, for structural repairs carried out by the Conservation Department. The tunnel in the direction of Laranjeiras will operate normally.

The Rebouças Tunnel tunnels will be closed in the direction of the city center from 11:30 PM to 5:00 AM for maintenance work. The tunnels in the opposite direction will operate with one reversible lane, on the left, in the direction of the city center. The other two lanes will be open to traffic in the direction of Lagoa.

The Vice-President José Alencar Tunnel will be closed in the Santa Cruz direction from 23 PM to 4 AM for maintenance work. Vehicles traveling in the closed direction will be diverted via Serra da Grota Funda (Avenida Artur Xexéo). BRT buses heading toward Santa Cruz will travel along the opposite gallery lane. Buses originally traveling along the channel toward Barra da Tijuca will continue in the common lane.

The Presidente Itamar Franco Overpass and the Luiz Jacques de Moraes and Paulo César Marcellino Figueiredo tunnels will be closed from 23 p.m. to 4:30 a.m. for routine maintenance. The alternative for drivers will be to follow the upper deck of the Elevado das Bandeiras, which will operate in the direction of Barra da Tijuca.

At all scheduled closures, specific signage will be installed to guide and alert drivers, and CET-Rio operators will monitor traffic conditions and, if necessary, take action. In addition, traffic light times will be adjusted to ensure fluidity on detour routes and on the main corridors in the regions.

The program may be suspended at any time due to weather conditions or operational issues in the city.
