Tunnels and elevated roads will be closed this Wednesday for construction and maintenance.

CET-Rio informs that the Santa Bárbara Tunnel will be closed this Wednesday (10/29), in the direction of Santo Cristo, from 22 pm to 5 am, for structural repairs carried out by the Conservation Department. The tunnel in the direction of Laranjeiras will operate normally.

The Zuzu Angel and Acústico Rafael Mascarenhas tunnels will be closed in the direction of São Conrado from 23:30 PM to 5:XNUMX AM for tunnel maintenance. The main alternative route is Avenida Niemeyer.

The Engenheiro Freyssinet (overpass over Avenida Paulo de Frontin) and Rufino Pizarro elevated highways will be closed in the direction of the South Zone, from 11:30 PM to 5:00 AM, for maintenance work. Drivers can use Avenida Paulo de Frontin and then the Rebouças Tunnel as an alternative route.

At all scheduled closures, specific signage will be installed to guide and alert drivers, and CET-Rio operators will monitor traffic conditions and, if necessary, take action. In addition, traffic light times will be adjusted to ensure fluidity on detour routes and on the main corridors in the regions.

The program may be suspended at any time due to weather conditions or operational issues in the city.
