Tunnels and overpasses will be closed this Monday for maintenance and cleaning

The Zuzu Angel and Acústico Rafael Mascarenhas tunnels will be closed this Monday (July 27th) in the direction of Gávea, from 10:23 pm to 30:5 am, for tunnel maintenance work. The main alternative route is Avenida Niemeyer.

The Santa Bárbara Tunnel will be closed in the direction of Laranjeiras from 23:30 PM to 4:30 AM for maintenance and cleaning. The tunnel in the direction of Santo Cristo will operate normally.

The Engenheiro Freyssinet (elevated over Avenida Paulo de Frontin) and Rufino Pizarro elevated roads will be closed in the North Zone direction from 23:30 p.m. to 5 a.m. for maintenance work. Drivers will be able to use Avenida Paulo de Frontin as an alternative route.

At all scheduled closures, specific signage will be installed to guide and alert drivers, and CET-Rio operators will monitor traffic conditions and, if necessary, take action. In addition, traffic light times will be adjusted to ensure fluidity on detour routes and on the main corridors in the regions.

The program may be suspended at any time due to weather conditions or operational issues in the city.
