Tunnels and overpasses will be closed for construction and maintenance

CET-Rio informs that the Santa Bárbara Tunnel will be closed this Wednesday (10/22), in the direction of Santo Cristo, from 22 pm to 5 am, for structural repairs carried out by the Conservation Department. The tunnel in the direction of Laranjeiras will operate normally.

The Zuzu Angel and Acústico Rafael Mascarenhas tunnels will be closed during the early hours of this Thursday (October 23) in the direction of São Conrado, from 1 a.m. to 5 a.m., for tunnel maintenance work. The main alternative route is Avenida Niemeyer.

The Engenheiro Freyssinet (elevated over Avenida Paulo de Frontin) and Rufino Pizarro elevated highways will be closed early Thursday morning in the South Zone direction, from 2 a.m. to 5 a.m., for maintenance work. Drivers will be able to use Avenida Paulo de Frontin as an alternative route and then the Rebouças Tunnel.

At all scheduled closures, specific signage will be installed to guide and alert drivers, and CET-Rio operators will monitor traffic conditions and, if necessary, take action. In addition, traffic light times will be adjusted to ensure fluidity on detour routes and on the main corridors in the regions.

The program may be suspended at any time due to weather conditions or operational issues in the city.
